10:30 hrs Defile from City Gate with the participation of King Carnival Float, isolated masks, decorated vehicles. Defile will proceed along Republic stree, S.t John's Stree and up to Merchant Street.
16:00 hrs Band Show in Valletta
17:00 hrs Triumphal Floats will proceed with the Bus Terminus into Valletta. Groteque Masks will participate in the Valletta Defile
17:30 hrs - 21:00hrs Dance Programme Competition at Freedom Square. Participation of Masks, Isolated Masks & triumphal floats in Valletta

18:30 hrs The defile will proceed to St. Anne Stree, Floriana for the late night defile & night carnival which will also include the Kukkanja & other activities, intended for public such as carnival balls, carnival games & brands
SUNDAY 19TH FEBRUARY' 12
12:30 hrs Defile starts from the Granaries (fosos) Floriana and proceeds to Castille Place, Merchant Street, Freedom Square and finally St. James Ditch.
14:00 hrs Grand Carnival Show at Freedom Square Valletta which includes the Grand Defile.

MONDAY 20TH FEBRUARY' 12
10:00 hrs Carnival Band Parade with the participation of a Carnival Band & children's dance groups in costume. Band parade will circulate Republic Street, Melita Street, Merchant Street, St. Lucy Street up to City Gate.
17:00hrs Street Parade along Merchant Street, St. John's Street & Republic Street composed of King Carnival Float, masks, band and all dance companies with thier respective floats.
17:30 Dance competition at Freedom Square

TUESDAY 21ST FEBRUARY' 12
10:00 hrs Carnival Band Parade with the participation of a Carnival Band & children's dance groups in costume. Band Parade will circulate Republic Street, Melita Street, Merchant Str, St. Lucy Street up to City Gate
15:30 hrs Floats will proceed to Valletta
17:00 hrs Carnival show including the Grand Defile

Isle of MTV Malta Special will be held on 26th June 2013
"The free open air concert will take place in the spectacular Fosos (Granaries) Square in Floriana on the beautiful island of Malta, with an estimated audience of 50,000 people.
Now in its 4th consecutive year, the Isle of MTV Malta Special is unique in offering young people across Europe and beyond an exclusive opportunity to experience some of the world's best new and established artists in the sunshine of the Maltese islands
Past artists have included The Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Enrique Iglesias, One Republic and N.E.R.D amongst others.
The concert is held in collaboration with the Malta Tourism Authority.

Land Rover Malta Marathon and Half Marathon - Sunday 24th February 2013
The 2009 Malta Marathon and Malta Half Marathon routes will be retained for 2010. The Malta Marathon Organising Committee has had favourable feedback from the 2009 participants with regards to the layout of the routes and the way traffic was managed.
Although not traffic free, the numerous police and wardens manning every key junction enabled participants to run their race free from traffic. The changes to the routes to avoid areas notable for traffic congestion were most welcome. There are still minor adjustments that can be implemented to the way traffic is managed during the event, with the usual cooperation given by the Police, these adjustments could ease the traffic congestion that motorists face at particular junctions.
The Full Marathon which starts at 0800 from outside the bastions of Malta’s old capital Mdina, heads through the main road of Rabat, down through Nigret and onto the Mtarfa by-pass to get to 6km mark in Ta’Qali.
The route will take the athletes round Ta’ Qali, down to Attard, through Mosta, back to Attard, round Ta’ Qali again and back to where the 6km was, at this point it will be 27km.
From the 27th km, the Marathon Route passes through Mdina Glass, out of Ta’ Qali and down again to Attard. However this time the route will continue past Attard and through the Mriehel bypass, Hamrun/Marsa bypass, Marsa, Blata L-Bajda, Sa’ Maison, Pieta, Msida, Ta’ Xbiex, Gzira and to the finish in Sliema.
The Half Marathon which also starts from outside Mdina but at 1000, will follow the Full Marathon route till the 6th km. At this point the Half Marathon will turn into Mdina Glass to join the Full Marathon and will continue on the Full Marathon Route right to the finish in Sliema.
The ‘Endo’ walkers Half Marathon which starts at 0900 will also use the Half Marathon route as described above.
A 2.5metre lane along most of the roads from the 31st Km to the 40th Km of the Full Marathon (10th Km to the 19th Km of the Half Marathon), will be cordoned off with cones for runners.
Both the Marathon and Half Marathon routes are predominantly downhill, with the start being at 200metres and the finish at sea level. Whereas the Half Marathon heads directly to the finish after the 1st km from the start, the Marathon deviates from this direction with a small loop within Ta’ Qali (6th to 10th Km), followed by a larger loop from the 12th Km to the 27th km, that takes the athletes from Attard, through Mosta, Attard again and back to Ta’ Qali.
